Daysake Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy is for people in Washington State, Nevada, and other places with consumer health data laws, such as the Washington My Health My Data Act. It explains how Daysake handles "consumer health data". It adds to our Privacy Policy (https://daysake.com/en/privacy/), which covers everything else.
Daysake is run by Inadle. Contact: [email protected].
1. Daysake does not ask for health information
Daysake is a private notebook where parents and the family members they invite write short pages about a child's day. We do not ask for health information, we do not diagnose or assess children, and we do not analyze what you write to find health information.
2. What consumer health data we may hold
You might write something about health on a page, for example "had a fever today", "first day back after the flu", or "went to the doctor", or attach a photo that shows it. Under these laws, such text or photos could count as consumer health data about your child or about you.
- Source: only what you or someone writing in your notebook chose to write or attach. We do not get health data from anyone else.
- We do not collect precise location, biometric data, or data from health devices or apps.
3. Why we use it
We use it only to provide the notebook you asked for: to store your pages and photos, show them to the people in your family notebook, include them in your downloads, and keep them safe. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, research, or AI training, and we do not use it to make decisions about you or your child.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
The service providers that run Daysake for us (processors) handle it only on our instructions and only to run Daysake. These are all the processors that may receive health details:
- Supabase, Inc.: stores your pages and photos (Japan).
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts our website and forwards emails you send us, so it receives health details only if you write them in an email.
- Google LLC (Gmail): our email inbox, which receives the emails Cloudflare forwards, so it receives health details only if you write them in an email.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry): receives crash reports. They are built to hide page text before they leave your phone, but very short phrases may not be hidden.
- 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo), Apple Inc. (Apple Push Notification service), and Google LLC (Firebase Cloud Messaging): deliver push notifications. Notifications never include page text, but this week's question may name a topic you could answer with health details.
Our full list of providers is in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
Inside Daysake, your pages are visible only to the people in your family notebook, and "Just me" pages only to the person who wrote them.
5. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you or your child, and see it: everything is in your notebook, and Settings › Download everything gives you a copy,
- see the list of everyone it is shared with: the processors in Section 4,
- delete it: delete a page (it disappears at once and is deleted for good within 30 days), a child's notebook, or your account (Settings › Delete my account),
- withdraw consent: stop writing such things, delete the pages, or delete your account,
- ask us at [email protected].
We reply within 7 business days and complete requests within 45 days, as the Washington law requires. To confirm a request comes from you, we send a short code to the email address on your account; we do not ask for ID documents. When we delete, we also delete it from our processors' systems, and backup copies are overwritten within 7 days.
If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer or emailing [email protected] with "Appeal" in the subject. We answer appeals within 45 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
6. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the version and date at the top and tell you in the app or by another reasonable means before the change takes effect. If a change needs your consent, we will ask for it first.
