Delete your Daysake account and data

This page is for Daysake by Inadle. You can ask us to delete your Daysake account and its data here, even if you don’t have the app installed or can’t sign in.

Send it from the email address on your account (if you used Apple’s ‘Hide My Email’, tell us the relay address)
Whether you want only your account deleted, or the whole family notebook or one child’s notebook

How we confirm it’s you

To prevent mistakes and account takeover, we send a short code to the email address on the account and ask you to send it back. We don’t ask for ID documents. We reply within 7 business days, and delete the account once the code is confirmed. If guardian rights are disputed, we may ask a few more questions first.

What gets deleted

Your account and sign-in details, your consent records, your child’s details, your pages, photos (with their thumbnails and print copies), edit history, and notes are deleted. If others write in your family notebook with you, only you are removed: the pages you wrote stay with them without your name (shown as ‘Someone writing with you’ in the notebook and ‘Family member’ in downloads), and your ‘Just me’ pages are deleted.

What stays, and for how long

The record that your account was deleted (a random account ID, the date, and the result, never your child’s details, pages, or photos): 1 year, then deleted automatically.
Crash reports: not linked to your account, deleted automatically after 30 days.
Usage stats: deleted when you turn them off or delete your account in the app; otherwise deleted automatically once they are 6 months old.
Copies in our hosting provider’s automatic backups: overwritten after a short backup period.
