Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings › Delete my account. If you are the only person in your family notebook, the whole notebook is deleted, including photos. If others write in it with you, only you are removed: the pages you wrote stay with them without your name, and your ‘Just me’ pages are deleted. Want a copy first? Use Download everything before you delete.
Can’t sign in or no longer have the app? Ask to delete on the web.
To delete a single page and keep your account, open the page, open its menu (⋯), and tap Delete. It disappears at once and is deleted for good within 30 days.
How do I download my notebook?
Go to Settings › Download everything. It’s free. Choose Writing only (one PDF with the date and age on every page) or Writing and photos (one zip file with a PDF for each child, your photos, and a list of pages). The file is made on your phone and opens your share sheet, so you can save it to Files or Google Drive, or email it to yourself.
How do I add my partner or someone else to write with me?
Go to Settings › Invite someone to write and send them the invite link. The link works for 2 weeks, for one person. Everyone uses their own account, so no one shares a password.
- On Android, they tap the link and get Daysake from Google Play. When they open the app, the invite is filled in for them.
- On iPhone, they tap the link, which copies the invite code, and get Daysake from the App Store. On the first screen, they tap ‘Enter your code’ (under ‘Got an invite?’), then Paste.
Pages you mark ‘Just me’ are never shown to anyone else.
Are there ads? Who can see our pages?
No ads. Daysake has no public feed. Only the people in your family notebook can see your family’s pages. We do not sell or share your information. See the Privacy Policy for details.
